This has got to be one of my favorite projects even if it was just for fun.

The idea was to take works of 20th century artist and create characters out of each piece representing their creators. Each character can be printed out, cutout and folded together from a single sheet of a4 paper. The eyes an mouths borrow from their respective artists style. Pictured above you’ve got (from left to right), David Hockney, Jasper Johns, Mark Rothko, Victor Vasarely and Jackson Pollock.

Basically the idea was to create a way of engaging with works of art on a more playful level and to familiarize kids (and kid-like-grown-ups) with the works of art and their creators.

Jasper Johns is my favorite.
